February 10, 2020
LiveAbodeLiveAbode

Valentine’s Day is almost here, and we love seeing all the displays of red, pink, and white in storefronts and homes. In honor of this short but sweet celebration of the color of love, we thought we’d give you some inspiration for fresh ways you could incorporate red into your home design and decor.

Check out 20 of our favorite red home designs and decor!

This home uses Royal® Portsmouth™ Hand-Split Shake in Redwood to create a cozy, inviting twist on the classic red barn-style home.

Don’t you just want to take a nap in this room? It’s proof that red paint doesn’t have to be overbearing! Finding the right shade is the key to creating a relaxing environment using red.

We love that this home goes all in on red. Everything from the siding and trim to the columns and windows is the same shade! It makes for a bold statement, and happens to look amazing in the snow.

This kitchen is the answer to the all-white kitchens that have been flooding our Instagram feeds lately. There’s nothing wrong with incorporating a lot of white into a kitchen, but this addition of red cabinets and rafters creates visual interest and has a unique, modern feel.

This charming home pairs Celect® Siding in Carriage Red with white trim for the classic look you’d expect from red siding.

The shiny red paint used in this home has an upscale, classy feel that is only elevated by the carefully curated fabrics in the curtains, lampshades, pillows, and cushions.

There’s nothing subtle about red siding, white trim, and blue shutters! This home is as patriotic as it gets while maintaining its charm.

Adding a backsplash is a great way to quickly upgrade your kitchen on a budget. It’s also a great place to incorporate a pop of color!

This home features Royal® Haven® Insulated Siding D6 in Redwood, and Royal® Haven® Insulated Board & Batten Siding in Redwood on the adjacent barn. It’s a subtle difference to use two different siding profiles in the same color, but it creates a nice visual distinction between the house and the barn.

This kitchen is jaw-dropping! You’ll notice that there isn’t much in the way of decor in this kitchen, and that’s because the red paint does all the leg work.

We love how the detailing in the decorative trim complements the red siding on this home.

By using different shades of red throughout a room, you can keep things from getting predictable or matchy-matchy. If this is an intimidating idea to you, try bringing a statement piece into the room that uses a different shade of red than you’re already using. Then match a few more accessories to that statement piece. The room will come together before you know it!

This house is straight out of a fairytale! We particularly love the blue trim paired with the red siding.

The tile in this bathroom is stunning! It goes nicely with the rug in front of the sink, but remains the focal point of the room.

Window boxes become even more charming in a classic shade of red!

There are fantastic clients out there who understand the solid investment they are making in good design but for many, design is seen as frivolous and unnecessary." This chic red tile is actually found in a restaurant, but we couldn’t resist including it. A similar use of tile behind a breakfast nook or couch is a cool idea for a home update on a budget.

This is our inspiration for next Christmas’ gingerbread house building contest. The red, pink, and yellow combination is unexpected and whimsical.

This shiny red tile fireplace, red trim, and red art piece might be overbearing in a busier room, but against all beige it looks warm and inviting.

It warms our hearts to imagine this house covered in snow. That little red awning is so charming!
